a creative codex
It is a creative codex: a system of entries that document both my thinking and my making, in real time.
A codex does not require a linear reading. You can move through it by time, by project, or by curiosity. Each entry stands alone, but together they form a larger body of work.
The site is organized into four parts:
I write Observations of a Lucid Dreamer - a personal journal of reflections about my work - as an artist navigating the collapse of an industry and the influence of transformative technology.
As a filmmaker, I am currently developing The Flirt Project: a short film series, set in the near future, where technology recruits Black people with romantic aspirations into a mysterious agency.
Moon and Motherboard, a design lab where astrology, ancestral practices, and experiential event design converge, shaped by my experience in production and my background in Black church traditions.
Book of Sheba is a publishing project for women drawn to ancestral practices as a way of moving beyond respectability culture and reclaiming inherited forms of knowledge.
I chose not to open this space for dialogue. The work is offered here as a record, not a conversation.
At its core, this codex is my way of tracking my own creative process: what I make, how I think, and how those two evolve together over time.
It is also a form of preservation.
If I am ever unable to tell my own story, I intend for this archive to hold it. My entries may be revisited, expanded, or reworked.
Nothing here is fixed.
This is for my future self, and for anyone who may find value in understanding how a body of work is built from the inside.
And if memory ever fails me, whether in this lifetime or the next, I hope this will remain as evidence of my journey.
