MAKING THE IDEAL JOURNAL
Greetings from the past Future E. This is what’s on your mind as you enter the sign of the Twins—
I don’t remember when I first started journaling. I just know I have always found great solace writing down the conversations I have with myself. I have never found the “perfect” journal. A lot of good ones, but none with an equal balance of space to write freely and structure so that I can track my dreams, or mooncycles or good habits I’m trying to build.
I’m going to use A.I. to help me create the perfect journal for me - part lover, part sage, part modern mystic.
It has a bit of over achiever attached to it, but it feels right.
Following the lunar month, with the intention of bringing awareness to how I grow and seek my higher self: an embodiment journal.
I’ll build a sketch and start experimenting on this new moon in Gemini. I’ll follow up in the next season.
I AM MORE THAN A TELEVISION WRITER
I feel compelled to give embodiment my time, attention and energy because the current market place is inviting me to see myself as more than a television writer or even a storyteller.
The writing you see on the wall is inviting you to be an artist that is form agnostic, to be a world builder, to step out of the pretty box you worked so hard to make your creative home. The list will change, but here are some ideas on your mind:
I want to do installation art.
I want to write novels. I want to design sets.
I want to design a VR video game called 7387647233.
I want to write (but not direct) a stage play.
I want to make an audio mix tape.
I want curate spaces and immersive experiences.
I want to build libraries dedicated to the Diaspora.
I want to design masks and robes.
I want to write myths that inspire ballets.
I want to choreograph performance art.
I want to produce a live variety show (a la Flip Wilson)
But first, I want to direct a short film series this summer.
AI USE OF POLICY (a work in progress)
I expect AI to help me do all of this. Using it for research has been an immense time savior. How I work with AI in building this journal will also help us determine how we want to incorporate this into other aspects of our ever evolving and expanding spectrum of work as an artist in 2025.
For this I will need a personal USE OF POLICY
PURPOSE: In the decades and centuries to come, how this generation of artists investigates, embraces and employs artificial intelligence will be foundational to the future of human expression.
Recording my use with the technology as a reference (especially as a Black woman artist, living in America) is my contribution the study of humans and artificial intelligence.
I will experiment with my instincts as an artist.
SUGGESTED USE: Operate knowing that your imagination is the greatest tool you have. It is the highly unique, limited resource that can not be duplicated.
You, like the work and the technology, are in progress.
These last three posts have been the most personal words I’ve left out in the open for any passerby to see. I’m so proud of you. You’ve completed the hardest part, laying the foundation. Now the nerdy fun begins: every new moon, full moon and new sign season - reflect, refresh and begin anew.
