FULL MOON X SCORPIO
This is my first letter to Future E.
It’s important to keep this digital archive centered on my creative journey. That’s the only way I can cope with and agree to, sharing the vulnerability of my internal thoughts around my creative process. No comments. No direct messages. Just a curation of my thoughts. A snapshot of my emotions. A log of spiritual questions. Reminders to my mind, heart and soul.
Expression over explanation.
I am excited to see how far I can go with A.I. by my side. It is my second greatest tool in world-building, our fantastical and irreverent imagination, is always the first. But you are a modern mystic who enjoys learning about machines. Not every artist feels the way you do. How do you as an artist decide how to use technology? No one else can determine this for you.
It seems to me that artists and creatives will have different approaches. I feel all artists are creatives, but not all creatives are artists. Your thoughts on this evolve over time. But this is why it matters you now. Many creatives are leading the conversations about how to use A.I. but my gut keeps telling me, I can’t listen to them. I should follow the curiosities and experimentations of other artists to find our unique path be incorporating this new tool into our artistry.
At the same time, you need the mind of a creative to build an awareness campaign that will find and engage with your unique community, so that this life provides for herself.
ARTIST OR CREATIVE
I’m an artist when I feel called to create, with no audience or compensation in sight. I’m a creative when I thrive while meeting the need of an audience or mandate.
I’m an artist when I’m okay with my work being confused, confronted or misunderstood. I’m a creative when I prioritize connecting clearly and delivering value.
I’m an artist when I see creating as a part of my spiritual, emotional or mental healing. I’m a creative when create to communicate or influence with a desired outcome.
I’m an artist when I follow a vision - even if it’s mysterious, nonlinear or instinctual. I’m a creative when follow direction -- often strategic, collaborative and data informed.
I’m an artist when I honor stillness as a part of the process. I’m a creative when prefer to move with the momentum of a desired timeline.
I’m an artist when I experiment freely, embracing uncertainty as possibility. I’m a creative when experiments strategically, based on results and feedback.
I’m an artist when I explore my self and my soul as part of the process. I’m a creative when prioritize my tools, skills and systems to elevate output.
I’m an artist when I create from a life-long devotion to something bigger than myself (i.e. a gift, a truth, a lineage or question, etc.) I’m a creative when creates with the purpose to serve a mission for a season.
I can be one. Both at the same time. I don’t have to choose. But knowing what energy I’m in, may prove to be the clarity I need to help me incorporate artificial intelligence in my art and worldbuilding. Come back to this at the next full moon.
ESTER LOU’S LUCID DREAM
Last year, when the moon was in Pisces, I tries something new. This was my first attempt to not be like everybody else. It makes me giggle. And that’s a decent start. But where to next? What I like most about this is the voice over, how it’s loosely tied to the visuals.
I like the framing. I like the story. But I don’t relying on random footage from my phone just as much as I don’t like planning a day to shoot vanity b-roll. And I’ll only be consistent if I find a way that feels good in my body.
I look forward to what we come up with, Future Me. Thank you for the signals you left behind. I love you. Sincerely, Ester 2025
P.S. One of the things I love most about this version of you is the balance of your interests. You embrace the patterns of astrology but you also embrace ChatGPT. You love studying ancestral medicine but you also enjoy staying abreast on trends in industrial espionage. You are a mystic who loves machines, a sage who enjoys mischief.
