FULL MOON X SAGITTARIUS
Ester of the Future--
Last night, you had an important/interesting dream. Today there is a Full Moon in Sagittarius.
You were in a new place, with new people - though there were a few familiar faces. But even the people you recognized wanted you to do new things - like jump off a cliff (or was it a building?) But in a friendly, adventurous way though - not a murderous one.
At some point, you returned to the place you had been after the crowd was gone. A man, who feels like he was PALE (but not yt) warned you about being there. He said it was not safe because of “them.” Them who? I don’t know. In the dream and even now - you don’t know who the Pale Man was referring to. Your only clue, the color red. You see red when you think of “them.”
Pale Man escorted you out of what felt like a dining hall or restaurant. As you both walked down a long, reddish-brown hallway, made of clay or brick. He held you close. His hand gripping your arm the entire way. Pale Man whispered: “They can’t see you here.”
I still don’t know what that means. I got/get the feeling that I was being too comfortable in a space and people who might want to harm me -- possibly for being too comfortable - might see me.
I wasn’t scared. Rather, I was apologetic and a little confused. I didn’t realized I had trespassed or are that I assumed a level of comfort or casualness that was not allowed. Of course, that’s when I realized I was naked from the waist down. I had on a fitted, skin-toned brown peplum on top and had a naked poom poom for a bottom. It’s kinda funny.
I wasn’t scared or ashamed. Just confused -- how and when did this happen? Is this the level of comfort that motivated Pale Man to remove me quietly, quickly and sternly? I woke up after I realized I was naked.
The last time you had a dream with a man you didn’t recognize was when you lived in Brooklyn. That dream began with a snake, with car-sized head, chasing you through a field of tall grass. You were sprinting. He was slithering at a calm pace. But he was never too far behind you. We know it was a “he” because he had a deep voice and kept announcing: “You know I’m going to catch you.”
You took your father’s advice and took control of your dream. You ran faster than your waking body ever could. But there he was, still right behind you. “You know I’m going to catch you.”
You took the chase to the skies. For a few seconds, you were free in the clouds. Then you felt them -- dozens of Cobra Men (dressed like the bad guys on GI Joe) flanking you, war pilots on a mission.
Leading them in flight... ya’ boy. “You know I’m going to catch you.”
Finally, you flew into a building. As our body hit the bricks, we were cloaked in invisibility. Boom! Escaped his ass...so you thought. With no ground beneath them, the men started pacing the perimeter of this building -- high above clouds. You got nervous. You started shaking. And you know what you learned? You can’t hide well when you’re nervous. You always woke up before you lost invisibility.
I suspect this dream will never leave our memory. The Cobra Man visited you several times. And each time was the same - running, flying, shaking - wake up. Until you moved to Los Angeles. Once you quit trying to be an assistant and accepted the assignment/adventure of becoming an artist, you never saw him again.
It took you some years and study to realize that Cobra Man was me...you, refusing to let us run away from our passion. Is that why we weren’t afraid of Pale Man? Maybe there is a part of you that realizes this protector is related to your friend with the deep voice and snake skin.
You are in a new space, exposing yourself -- your creativity, your desires, your desire for connection.
It makes sense; just days ago you finished the first short film of your collection. (yayy!!) You shared it with a few people and intend to share it with more. You should know that it was scary, but it was not hard. For you, the writing is never hard when you stay honest to what’s in your head and heart. I’ll leave you with that -- and a prayer of thanks and gratitude to the spirit, the energy, the ancestor, the God-inspired force that speaks to me in my dreams. We are listening.
